What is a one-rep max?

Are 1RM estimates accurate across all exercises?

These formulas were primarily validated for the squat, bench press, and deadlift. They are less accurate for isolation exercises (bicep curls, lateral raises) and bodyweight movements, where the rep-strength relationship behaves differently.
